A seventeen year veteran of the audio post industry, Kennedy is a father, wannabe musician, and award-winning sound designer operating in the DC area. Kennedy spent eight years perfecting his craft at Interface Video Systems before launching kennedy sound, his own state-of-the art audio post production studio. Kennedy has Sound Design and Mixing credits on documentary films for clients including PBS, Discovery and The National Gallery, as well as countless spots and broadcast promos for TLC, National Geographic TV, Chevy Geo, Con Edison, Time Life, The Travel Channel, Animal Planet, The Baltimore Ravens, XM Radio and a host of others. Kennedy has also served corporate and government clients such as MCI, Lockheed Martin, Hearst Publications, NASA, The Smithsonian Institution and Department of Defense, to name a few. Trade associations like the National Association of Broadcasters, National Association of Realtors, Chemical Manufacturers Association and American Institute of Architecture have also profited from Kennedy's efforts, as have the campaigns directed by dozens of D.C.'s top political consultants.

    Prior to his tenure at Interface, Kennedy worked at DuArt in New York City, contributing to audio post on national commercial spots (Budweiser, Wendy's) and feature films (Home Alone II). Kennedy entered the audio post industry from his background as a music recording engineer and live music mixer. He is a graduate of Oberlin College, Ohio (1986, Religion) and The Institute of Audio Research, New York (1989, Recording Engineering and Production).

    Kennedy is the recipient of the International Teleproduction Society's prestigious International Monitor Award for Best Audio Post Production in 1999. In 1996 Kennedy was awarded the International Television Association's Silver Reel for Audio Post Production.
